Teori Shaw is a senior at the University of Massachusetts, Boston studying Accounting in the College of Management. She is currently a receptionist at a non-profit organization and an active member in her community. She regularly volunteers her free time with Boston Cares. Teori hopes to someday become a CPA and a retail auditor.
Frank Brown was born and raised in the Dorchester area and graduated high school in 2011 receiving multiple honors rewards and was involved in assisting the community through a variety of church events. Frank has then gone on to pursue an Accounting degree at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Now that Frank is entering his fourth year of college, he plans to start looking for internship opportunities within Boston.
Lucille P. Butler Scholarship Fund
What is the Lucille P. Butler Scholarship Fund?
The Lucille P. Butler Scholarship Fund has been established for needy African American students majoring in accounting at an accredited 4-year college or university to be used for tuition and books. Two students will be awarded the sum of $5000 each on a onetime basis only. $2500 will be awarded at the beginning of the s ophomore, junior or senior semester and the remaining $2500 will be awarded at the beginning of the second semester, sophomore, junior or senior year.
